This is a new aftermarket Variable Valve Timing (VVT) oil control valve for the intake camshaft on select 2.4L and 2.5L T5 Volvo engines. The valve plays a key role in regulating oil pressure to adjust intake camshaft timing for improved engine efficiency and performance.

Over time, the oil control valve can become sluggish or clogged, leading to incorrect camshaft timing, reduced power, or increased emissions.

Common symptoms of a faulty intake VVT oil control valve:
Engine hesitation or rough idle
