This item was developed with improvement to the design of the original part, so that the common problem with the gear shifter can be corrected .
If you are no longer able to remove the keys from the steering column lock - and have to leave them in the car, or if you no longer able to shift the gears between park and drive- most likely the gear shifter knob has sustained damages to the release button inside.
This condition can be easily corrected.
