The following intermittent failures occur while the CEM operates normally most of the time., but occasionally speedometer cluster drops out as a first symptom. The condition is caused by the faulty design of the center information module, where a main processor overheats and loses some of its functions. To trigger the condition that will cause these symptoms, remove the cem and place it on the floor just in front of the brake pedal, with all the wires attached. start the vehicle, and heat the CEM with a hair dryer, while blowing hot air gently at the front section, for about 5 minutes, and observe the instrument cluster for any abnormal operation.

You have to send in a good replacement Central Information Module (CEM) along with your original defective CEM, so that we can transfer the data from your original to your replacement CEM.

We will store the data from your original CEM after the data transfer and keep that information. This file can be e-mailed to you if needed.
Your old CEM has no value to you, as a defective part and will be kept at our facility unless you specify that it should be returned to you. We will request you cover the shipping charge of $15.00 for priority mail service of a core return
