Rear brake load-reducing valve for Volvo 240 models without ABS brake system. These are installed at the rear axle of the car. These are attached to the bracket. One port takes a rigid brake line. Another port takes a flexible hose. These valves reduce the brake pressure on the rear axle to prevent fishtailing conditions during braking. Since your Volvo has 4 piston calipers on the front and only 2 piston calipers at the back - it is essential to have a reducing valve to equalize the braking effort.
